A Visit to Luray Caverns

 

We've been told time and time again to visit Luray Caverns....and finally, we got there!  Less than an hour away from the cabin, we have driven by the Caverns many times, but we usually head to one of our favorite restaurants or the entrance to the Shenandoah National Park.  As a special treat during Spring Break, while we were visiting the cabin, we drove out to Luray specifically to tour the Caverns.

The Caverns were spectacular.

 

 

We were very glad to have finally seen Luray Caverns.  If you go, we also really enjoyed the Luray Valley Museum, which was included in the tickets for the Caverns. 

An Amazing Snow!

We got the chance to spend a few days at the cabin this past week and were blessed by a beautiful snow fall!

Bryce Resort Ski Slopes are Open!

The ski slopes at Bryce Resort are open!  We absolutely love the resort -- it's the perfect place for our kids to learn how to ski.  The slopes all end up in one central place (very convenient for the parent waiting at the bottom!), the staff is friendly, and the instructors are great. It's a wonderful, low-key experience. 

We Love Pets!

 

Chestnut Oak Lodge welcomes pets!  And, they LOVE it out here in the Shenandoah Valley.....or at least our dog does!
